External OPuS Mirrior Purge

 

Client Need:

Client has optics assembly that exhibits poor optical performance when used in high power/high duty cycle conditions. This is a result of thermal effects from heating at the mirrors used to delay the laser pulse in a confocal resonator.

3-D Engineering Solution:

3-D Engineering conducted analysis and developed an interim design solution to provide a laminar purge system for the mirrors.

Results:

3-D Engineering performed an interim purge design effort that included analysis for purge flow, mechanical design for newly designed purge components, and fabrication of components.
