3-D Engineering Corp. is an Engineering Services and Support company established in 1998 to provide a comprehensive range of services.  Our organization provides Research and Development Support, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Process Engineering, Modeling, Simulation, Analyses, Prototyping, Preproduction, Model Making and Fabrication Support. We provide System Design documentation and Technical Data support as well as Configuration Management support. We apply our resources to provide unsurpassed solutions in the areas of the military, high-tech commercial and medical applications. 3-D Engineering Corp is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), certified by the US Small Business Administration, we hold GSA Schedule 871 GS-23-F-0343P.


3-D Engineering has performed as the prime contractor with Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center for the Research and Development of the INFRARED COLD CAMERA SHUTTER (IRCCS). This program developed a calibration method for radiometric imaging systems that relies on an absolute measurement of scene radiance and a shutter assembly for taking the baseline measurement of zero radiance which is operable under cryogenic temperatures as low as 80.5K (-192.65.degree. C.) in vacuum measuring <10e-6 torr (mm Hg). The IRCCS design was awarded US Patent #6,995,359. This program demonstrated Research

and Development to formulate concepts and conduct analytical research into the heat transfer mechanisms and conduct transient thermal analyses to determine concept viability. Based on the system assessment, subsystem requirements were refined and the IRCCS design and development was successfully completed resulting in multi-unit hardware deliverables to the Navy.


3-D Engineering has performed as a subcontractor on numerous programs for the Office of Naval Research, Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center, the Army’s Armament Research and Development Engineering Center, the Air Force Research Lab, the Missile Defense Agency, NASA, JPL, DARPA, Army’s Redstone Arsenal, and the USMC AAA Program. As a subcontractor we have demonstrated a multidisciplinary engineering services and support expertise comprised of Scientists, Engineers, Analysts, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and Design, Technologists, Technicians, and other support services as required for the successful completion of the TO(s), or Project/Program(s).  We have provided  engineering services and support for the research and development of  multispectral imagers, inclusive of dual-band and four-band high spatial resolution and high-speed short-wave infrared (SWIR), mid-wave infrared (MWIR) and long-wave infrared (LWIR) systems for threat detection, tracking, and other uses.


HyperSpectral Imagers (HSI) offering high spatial and

spectral resolution throughout the visible and infrared spectrum (0.4 ìm to 12 ìm). We have provided Reverse Engineering of ground support equipment (GSE) for the CH-47. Our team has provided support for numerous high speed optical scanning systems for military and commercial applications, such as the Rapid Target Acquisition and Tracking System (RTATs) to develop rapidly steerable small lightweight mirror which allow for searching large areas while tracking with high accuracy.


Our engineering services and support team provides Integration and Test (I&T), conducts feasibility assessment studies, develops working hardware to demonstrate performance of selected technical approach(s), develops specification control documents, requirements flow-down, and  provides CDRL reporting for items such as weight, power consumption, and DTC. Additionally, we provide requirements traceability matrices (RTM), prototype development for field tests, and design refinement and documentation for preproduction, pilot production, and FSD.
