The SmartNumber Tool™ by 3D Engineering Corporation is an easy-to-use program that automates the process of generating unique intelligent part numbers for use with SolidWorks and PDMWorks. It is able to accommodate an infinite variety of part number formats, including multiple “intelligent” fields. SmartNumber Tool™ uses information entered by the user to create new SolidWorks parts or rename existing parts with the correct naming conventions and custom property values.
